Short Bio

Peter (1999) is a bassist and Vocalist. He is currently studying both subjects at the conservatory of Maastricht. He played on festivals like the North Sea Jazz festival, Music meeting and So What’s Next and he won second Prize at the Christina Concours with his trio in 2019. The Jury had this to say:

 

“Star potential; thats the word that lingers when the dust has settled after his performance. Unbelievable that you sing so well and simultaneously play the double bass at such a high level…”

After this, things started to develop quickly. He has been to two study trips to New York and met/had lessons with amongst other people; Nikkie Perrot and John Pattituci. He has recorded several records including two E.P.’s with grammy nominated American guitar player Gary Lucas, who is known from his work with Jeff Buckley and Captain Beefheart.

Bio

Peter (1999) is a bassist and Vocalist. He is currently studying both subjects at the conservatory of Maastricht. Voice with Sabine Kühlich (second Year), and Double bass with Matthias Nowak en John Goldsby (Fourth Year). His first priority has ways been developing freedom in his playing. Being able to play whatever he thinks of, or whatever he feels. First only on the Double-bass, with which he played on festivals like the North Sea Jazz, Music Meeting and So what’s Next. And later he tried to sing and play at the same time. This slowly developed in his main project. In 2019 he won second Prize at the Christina Concours with his trio. The Jury had this to say:

After this, things started to develop quickly. He has been to two study trips to New York and met/had lessons with amongst other people; Nikkie Perrot and John Pattituci. He has recorded several records including two E.P.’s with grammy nominated American guitar player Gary Lucas, (Known from his work with Jeff Buckley and Captain beefheart) and he is of course playing all over the place; with this Solo program,  with several Duos including one with Sabine Kühlich and one with Johan de Haan, with his own trio program and as a sideman several ongoing projects.
